Exposing Uncle Sam’s Waste, Fraud, and Corruption

With fiscal deficits stretching out as far as the eye can see and politicians focused largely on tomorrow’s polling numbers or their next election, who the hell really minds the store in Washington?

All too often we hear Washington politicians “talk the talk” of rooting out waste, fraud, and corruption, but who and how many of these pols legitimately “walk the walk“?

Where are the real statesmen in Washington who are truly willing to put our nation first rather than looking the other way or playing the game under the guise of politics or ‘that’s just how it works‘.

“The Lack of Transparency and Accountability at FINRA Is Absurd”

I detest those people and organizations paying mere lip service to issues needing real transparency and accountability.

I love having the voice provided by Sense on Cents so I can highlight a wide array of these issues and so people can more effectively navigate the economic landscape. I also love being able to ask the hard questions and call out those whom I think are not serving the public interest.

What else do I love? I love when a voice far stronger than my own echoes my thoughts, shares my opinion, and blasts away in pursuit of real truth, transparency, and integrity along our economic landscape.

With only a few exceptions, the media as a whole has shown itself unwilling to truly take the gloves off and go after the aforementioned ‘lip serving’ individuals and institutions. Independent watchdogs in pursuit of good government are far more aggressive.

On this note and against this backdrop, I have to admit my adrenaline picked up yesterday. How so? Let’s navigate as I was informed of the following: (more…)

Sense on Cents Endorses POGO

In the never ending pursuit for truth, transparency, and integrity on our economic landscape, I am constantly looking for people, institutions, and enterprises which embrace and endorse those same principles. I hope and believe that readers of Sense on Cents appreciate that fact. Please do not be bashful to tell me when I fall short.

In checking on developments relating to the story I wrote the other day, “The SEC Pimped Peter Sivere”, I crossed paths this morning with an institution that has been around for thirty years but of which I was not acquainted. I am referring to the Project on Government Oversight (POGO).
