Well, with Uncle Sam not open for business again today, we can forget about the monthly employment report that is released the first Friday of every month.

But let’s redirect our focus for the moment. The roll out of Obamacare this week has generated a slew of reports from both ends of the political spectrum and their respective media accomplices. What is to be believed?

Is the inability to access the healthcare websites in many states a function of overwhelming interest by people looking to sign up or an inoperable system that is just another example of a dysfunctional government run wild? (more…)

Put aside everything else that streams across the daily news wire, there is no doubt that the prevailing issue that causes the most concern for people in our nation is how they are putting bread on the table.

Yes, we can dispense with all the noise that spews forth from far too many sources, the issue that is most prominent to our economic well being remains JOBS, JOBS, JOBS. So where are the jobs and why aren’t they being created to any meaningfully degree a full five years after the outset of our economic crisis?  (more…)

Your healthcare premiums were going to go down under Obamacare, right? Not so fast.

The benefits will far outweigh the costs, correct? Well, let’s navigate to America’s heartland and pose that question to the citizens of Ohio who will be picking up the tab. Might some — perhaps many — individuals who delivered the state for the President care to reconsider?

Recent news emanating from the Buckeye state would seem to indicate that when it comes to healthcare, the only thing that will be declining are the savings accounts of a lot of individuals. (more…)

Obamacare: Unaffordable for Many; Broken Promises Are Numerous

A month ago Senator Max Baucus, a Democrat from Montana, projected that he envisioned the implementation of the President’s new health care program, aka Obamacare, as being “a train wreck.”

Well, in reviewing a report released yesterday by the US House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, we gain a greater appreciation for just how expensive this train wreck might be.

Obamacare: 12 “Scary” Assessments

How is Obamacare treating you so far?

Are you experiencing any of the maladies highlighted in a recent review by Investor Business Daily that projects that Obamascare will lead to the following:

1. Boost insurance costs.

2. Push millions off employer coverage: In February, the Congressional Budget Office said that 7 million will likely lose their employer coverage thanks to ObamaCare — nearly twice its previous estimate. That number could be as high as 20 million, the CBO says.
