Interview on Lou Dobbs Tonight on Fox Business

Posted by Larry Doyle on January 11th, 2014 5:06 AM |

There is never any bad press. Although my interview on Lou Dobbs Tonight last evening may have only run for 3 plus minutes, the points covered go to the core of my recently released book.

I was about to connect and expose the third leg of the Wall Street-Washington conspiracy, that being the scandalous corruption within our regulatory system, when host Lori Rothman inquired about Dodd-Frank.

What didn’t we talk about last evening but is covered in the book? (more…)

Navigate accordingly.

Book Reviews for In Bed with Wall Street

Posted by Larry Doyle on January 5th, 2014 11:53 AM |

I thank everybody who has already purchased In Bed with Wall Street that will be released this Tuesday. I also thank those in the media and blogosphere who have reviewed it. What have reviewers had to say?

The new book by Larry Doyle could be called a “must read”.  This reviewer would go even farther and say it should be required reading for every single American.

I am extremely impressed with the depth of research that went into this book.  Larry Doyle is uniquely qualified and prepared to write this book. And the result is a masterpiece!

-This book will clarify many things for which you may have had an incomplete picture.  It will give another example of the old saw:  You couldn’t make stuff like this up.  (more…)

Thank You Readers and Happy New Year 2014

Posted by Larry Doyle on January 1st, 2014 6:38 AM |

Having just completed my 5th year of writing Sense on Cents, I owe an enormous debt of gratitude to all those who come here and join me in navigating the economic landscape.

I never could have possibly scripted what a fabulous ride it has been over these last years. The people whom I have met, the relationships I have developed, the knowledge I have gleaned and shared are all truly priceless. I would not trade any of these experiences for anything. So I thank you the readers for making this all real. In doing so, I wish you, your families, your businesses, and your pursuits all the best for a great 2014.

I am especially excited for all that this new year might hold. As I embark on 2014 and my book, In Bed with Wall Street, is set to be released next Tuesday the 7th, I take the efforts that have been concentrated here at Sense on Cents to an entirely new realm. I hope you will not only join me in my fight to bring meaningful transparency to a system that badly needs it but will share word of my fight detailed in the pages of the book with your friends, families, and colleagues.

I will keep readers apprised of my schedule regarding book events (signings, interviews, speaking etc) via postings here at the blog. Additionally, if you have relationships with media representatives (print, radio, TV) whom you might think would be interested in my work and the book, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or connect them to me via my email, senseoncents@aol.com.

I hope that I might have the opportunity to meet — and thank — many of you personally in the weeks and months ahead. Until then and as always . . . navigate accordingly.

‘Look Inside’ My Upcoming Book, In Bed with Wall St.

Posted by Larry Doyle on December 4th, 2013 7:21 AM |

IBWWS book jacketIs there any other reason or greater motivation than the virtue of truth for why people ultimately choose to read the material they do? I think not.

Yet all too often the truth is distorted, if not denied, by those who might benefit from seeing that it remains buried. I launched this blog almost 5 years ago in pursuit of the truth and continue to do so today.

On January 7th, I welcome elevating this pursuit of the truth to an entirely new level and a much larger platform. As most who visit here regularly are well aware, on that day my first book, In Bed with Wall Street: The Conspiracy Crippling Our Global Economy, will be published by Palgrave Macmillan.

I am enormously proud of the endorsements the book has received from a number of individuals, including none other than a former assistant Inspector General for Investigations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, David Weber. Additionally, a recent review offered the following:

His deep digging . . . qualifies as investigative journalism, and the scandalous details he recounts are impressive. The author has clearly done his homework while thinking about a reform effort . . . An important book . . .

I recently learned that the book will be named as one of “Ten Books That Matter” by the Project on Government Oversight for its upcoming 2014 Winter Reading List.

I am understandably pleased by all these developments, but the success of this book will ultimately be determined by you the reader. In an attempt to help you gain a greater understanding and appreciation for my pursuit of the truth and “deep digging,” we can now take a ‘look inside’ the book. In doing so, readers can check out the Table of Contents, a selected number of pages from the first 3 chapters, almost all of the 140 plus referenced resources in the Notes, and the Index as well.

Look Inside: In Bed with Wall Street: The Conspiracy Crippling Our Global Economy

The book is available both in hard copy and on Kindle, and can be ordered via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and IndieBound so that it will be delivered to you on the 7th of January.

I hope you will not only want to buy my book, but might also share this post with your family, friends, and colleagues so that they will do so as well. You can rest assured that I am not bashful in revealing details of people and situations from Wall Street to Washington lying ‘in bed’ with each other while the American public across the entire spectrum of our populace has paid and continues to pay a very heavy price.

I thank you for your support.

Obama on Dodd-Frank: Is He Serious?

Posted by Larry Doyle on August 20th, 2013 10:10 AM |

Three full years after the passage of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, less than 40 percent of the watered-down rules within the reform have actually been written.

And those that have fall mostly under the heading of low-hanging fruit.

President Obama played the populist card again yesterday, calling on Congress and the independent regulators to complete their work on this reform.

Does President Obama think the American public actually believes Wall Street has been or will be reformed via Dodd-Frank? Really? Is he serious?

How Do China’s Seven ‘Speak-Nots’ Play in America?

Posted by Larry Doyle on July 30th, 2013 8:08 AM |

People of faith are likely very familiar with the seven deadly sins: pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed, and sloth.

I think it goes without saying that our nation would be a better place if we had less of these vices on display. That said, our greatest virtues emanate from the very freedom that allows the aforementioned vices to gain a foothold. What if we did not have our freedom, though? Then what?

To explore this question, let’s navigate to The People’s Republic of China and review a recent report from Global Post that highlights:

In a directive reportedly distributed last month to local party committees, China’s top propaganda officials issued new

restrictions banning discussion of seven topics deemed to be “dangerous Western influences.”   (more…)
