A Great Day for The Irish: Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
Posted by Larry Doyle on March 17th, 2014 7:28 AM |
It seems only fitting that, with a surname like Doyle, on the 17th of March I should take a break from the daily navigation of the economic landscape, show off my ancestors’ breastplate, and spread a wee bit of Irish hopefulness to all who come here. On that note, I welcome sharing this Irish blessing:
Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!
With best wishes and Godspeed, I also hope people might take just a few minutes to enjoy this Irish classic:
Navigate accordingly.

It is a great day for the Irish.
Saint Patrick spread the faith throughout Ireland. Today I hope that you may be a channel of the peace that runs through your faith — whatever it may be — and that you might spread your faith and peace to others as well.
In that spirit, I welcome sharing a brief yet classic Irish ballad.
Enjoy. . . and navigate accordingly.

Happy St. Paddy’s Day . . . What’s the Craic?

With a name like Doyle and more siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews than I might possibly count, I beg your indulgence if I maintain that . . . with the greatest of all holidays falling on a weekend this year, prudence dictates that to gain a full appreciation of the special day and all it means that we celebrate it over a 48 hour time period.
Knowing full well that many of the boys and girls on “the street” will be in full festive attire –and demeanor — right from the get go this morning, I recommend you put a little splash in your coffee and forget about what troubles you.
What’s the craic?
Put simply, having craic is having a good time or a laugh.
It’s a Great Day for the Irish!!

Happy St. Paddy’s Day!
In the spirit of spreading a little Irish cheer and Irish culture, I thought the following peek into a typical Irish family would be appropriate. Enjoy!!
What it means to be in an Irish family…with edits for my personal experience growing up as one of eight children (seven boys, one girl) in a great Irish Catholic family in Boston!!
