Just How Great is America? (Video)

Posted by Larry Doyle on October 24, 2012 6:22 AM |

Declaring America as the greatest country in the world may be a standard statement on the political stump but the simple fact is that declaration is highly questionable.

Some may denigrate those who would question our greatness. I thank them assuming that their hearts and spirits aspire to make the necessary sacrifice to elevate America once again to the lofty status of true greatness.

To be recognized as the greatest, I believe we need to accept the reality of our current status. I have previously questioned our greatness. I have gone so far as to call out the lies and the liars. Real greatness has a foundation upon the truth.

To that end, I thank a former colleague and real patriot for sharing the following 3-minute promotional link which addresses points made regularly here at this blog. Let’s expose and promote the truth. Let’s run toward our problems and embrace our shortcomings. Let’s be the leaders we know our nation needs.

I hope you will watch this clip through to its entirety. It is only 3-minutes. Not much of an effort or a sacrifice but hopefully it creates a needed spark so conveniently avoided topics are brought more into the public domain. Perhaps then we can each ask why and how America has fallen so far on a number of fronts.

“We were informed.”

Seek and embrace the truth and. . . . navigate accordingly.

I liked the point of this video in some ways, but I keep hoping that we could become a kinder America without the vulgarities. Shocking people can be done with more creative language. Let us aspire, also, to be as eloquent as our founders with our words.

I guess if you read the CIA World Factbook we are #33. Considering Income Inequality, Unemployment, Level of “Democracy”, Global “well-being” Index, Food Insecurity, Life Expectancy, Prison Population, Education.

The fact is, this country has one chance and only one chance to remain great – reelecting President Obama. When President Obama took over in 2008, after 8 years of the awful G.W. Bush, this country was adrift and in awful shape. Now we have found our footing. Reelect the greatest president this country has ever known. It is also important to keep abortion legal, as this is what our founding fathers intended.

There are many, many racists who are trying to topple Obama due to their feelings. Fact is, he’s done an incredible job righting our ship. If he does lose, this is a racist country, pure and simple.

I’m a racist now because I prefer the policies stated by Zo, Herman Cain, Condoleeza Rice, Thomas Sowell, over Obama.

The race card is old and tired and not working anymore.
