NMDI...everybody is welcome here at Sense on Cents so thanks for your insights. I would encourage you to reread the post. I will reiterate:

I am not stating that government can’t or shouldn’t ever look to employ new programs and policies. I am also not stating that government can’t or shouldn’t play a significant role in our country and economy...

You are focused on the trees, or dare I say the waves, while I am focused on the forest, or dare I say, the current.

Please tell me where in my post that I am espousing NO government involvement.

Please visit and comment often.

Fiscal...

I concur. I view Washington and the two party system, both Dems and Reps alike, as a large part of the problem.

We need a credible third party.

I cant take you seriously if you are going to post such drivel. The goverment "has (it) ever been...an efficient provider of services or an efficient user of capital". Huh? So every decision made by the Federal Reserve Board has been ruinous? FDIC is a mistake? Interstate Highway System was a horrendous use of goverment capital? Army GI Bill was a goverment mistake? Maybe we should disband the FAA and the USDA while were at and leave everything to market forces since I know they will look after every ones interests..

Could I suggest the Republicans would normally provide the green shoots for alternate discussions. However with their record on bungling things, they just have no credibility. They had all 4 branches of the government and racked up the debt and diminished the financial oversight and did not do anything credible about health care costs. With all that Osama Bin Laden is still free.

All of those elements were relevant to business and they failed. Their vocal representatives do nothing but rant at the moon without valid discussion.
