Entrepreneurial Spirit

Posted by Larry Doyle on March 7, 2009 7:30 PM |

There is no substitute for an indomitable entrepreneurial spirit. We all know these are challenging times, but the American spirit will carry the day. I found this video clip to be particularly inspiring. I hope you do, too:

Hi, that is a good video. The thing I notice about most of these folks that start the new business is that they had good paying jobs prior to that or and/or I presume a spouse to maintain the household while it is growing. In other words, they have saved enough capital and they have the buffer of another individual to pay the bills in the meantime.

I think it would be very interesting for someone to write an expose’ about the single individual with little capital and no buffer person in the wings and tell that story. Any ideas?

The first name that comes to mind is Bill Gates dropping out of Harvard to start Microsoft. Not sure what kind of financing he had behind him at the beginning.
